TiEcon India 2005 celebrates this spirit of Entrepreneurship bringing together successful entrepreneurs from India and around the world.

This year TiEcon India 2005 will be representative of all the Indian TiE chapters and will showcase entrepreneurial talent from across the country. TiEcon attracts excellent international participation as well as a wide cross section from India – entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, investment bankers, policy makers, academia, consulting firms etc.

TiEcon India 2005 will focus on inspiring and educating entrepreneurs as well as debating aspects that impact the entrepreneurial environment and the opportunities in the Indian market. Keynote addresses will feature some of the most celebrated names in the entrepreneurial world. In addition, there will be parallel sessions addressing the challenges and opportunities in specific sectors like Retail, IT products and services, BPO, Education and Training, Manufacturing etc. On 14th December, there will be an focused session entitled VC Forum followed by a Curtainraiser, Cocktails & Dinner.

TiEcon’s in India have attracted people who are CEO’s, successful entrepreneurs, industry professionals, venture capitalists, investment bankers, policy makers, leading law firms and MNC’s from across the U.S., South Asia, India and Europe. In addition to providing in-depth, up-to-date content, TiEcon serves as a networking forum where entrepreneurs can discuss their specific problems and issues with professionals and successful entrepreneurs. TiEcon is designed to provide attendees with practical education, inspiration, role models, and networking opportunities to participate in the various aspects of entrepreneurship. TiE Delhi has hosted five major TiEcon’s attracting over 800-1200 delegates from across the globe cutting across various industry segments and this year, the sixth TIEcon promises to be the largest and most glittering conference.

Does the business community attend TiEcon in great numbers because of the terrific line up of speakers or do they assemble to network? Is TiEcon a platform of furthering business or is it an excuse to unwind with friends, new and old? TiEcon – our flagship event, hosted annually by a number of our chapters is perhaps the most exciting gathering of entrepreneurs anywhere in the world. In many ways, it indeed is the celebration of entrepreneurship.
	In the words of B S Prakash, Indian Consul General in San Francisco, “The whole ambience [at TiEcon SV] was vibrating with energy, alien to a non-entrepreneurial spirit like mine. It was 8 in the morning but the crowd was all rearing to go. Even the language around me was all charged up. Delegates were being 'incentivised' to go into the main hall. Networking was no doubt the name of the game, but keynoters were not to be ignored. The paradigm was about to be changed and synergy... well synthesized.
Thought leaders were ready to lead. Mentors were ready to mentor. The search engine for talent was being spurred, the business model was buzzing and above all value was being created. The sheer energy made me perspire.
